Main
Street USA is the first glimpse visitors get of the Magic Kingdom. Set up to resemble a
turn-of-the-century plaza, and Walt Disney's hometown of Marcelline, Mo., in particular,
it houses a variety of shops, restaurants, a fully-functional movie theater and a huge
collection of memorabilia.
The street has ambiance to spare, with turn-of-the-century architecture and traveling
barber shop quartet conjuring up a piece of America that hasn't exited for decades. Guests
should not miss the names on the windows above the shops. Each name belongs to an
important contributor to the Disney theme parks.
